Fans keeping a sharp eye on their calendars may have guessed this development, but Square Enix confirmed it through a brand new trailer showcased at Tokyo Game Show 2016–Kingdom Hearts 2.8 has been delayed a month into the new year. The eye-popping footage may make the wait harder to bear, but regardless of warnings, the future doesn’t scare us at all!
Those interested in a sneak peek at just how good the updated games and the PS4-only segment look can check out the embed above or the original Japanese trailer right here courtesy of KH13!
Kingdom Hearts 2.8 was originally slated for a December 7th release worldwide; those interested in importing can grab it on January 12th or catch the international release on January 24th, 2017! The Japanese Square Enix store is also offering a limited edition version with a special (spoiler!) keychain, so pre-order it here while you can.
