Bethesda fans hoping for the full mod experience of Fallout 4 and the upcoming The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition on PS4 may have to shelve their expectations–a recent announcement from the company detailed that the games would not include mod support after prior discussion with Sony Interactive Entertainment for its approval.
The game company has promised to provide an update if and when the modding situation changes. Sony has allowed modding in games prior to this, but anyone interested in purchasing either game on PS4 because of the promised support should research further before opening their wallets.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is currently slated for an October 28th release date on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Fallout 4 is available on Xbox One, PC, and PS4.
